Large parts of Scotland are among the darkest places in Europe, and on a clear night the stars are extraordinary. Our Dark Sky and Stargazing collection brings together cottages far from street lights, from Galloway’s Dark Sky Park to the Highlands and islands, where the Milky Way stretches overhead and, in winter, the Northern Lights sometimes appear. Some have hot tubs or skylights for watching from comfort. Pack a torch, check the forecast and book direct with the owner.
