Lochside House and Lochside Apartment offer a truly unforgettable lochside escape on the shores of breathtakingly beautiful Loch Katrine, in the heart of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Surrounded by some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery, the properties can accommodate up to 16 guests in total, with the house sleeping 10 and the self-contained apartment sleeping 6. They are perfect for family gatherings, group holidays, retreats, or smaller getaways.

Set within a handsome stone building dating from 1900, both properties have been recently modernised while retaining their Highland character and charm. Their greatest luxury is the extraordinary setting: magnificent views across the loch, dramatic skies that change by the hour, and immediate access to a landscape of outstanding natural beauty.

Lochside House combines spacious, elegant interiors with modern comforts. The impressive living room features soaring ceilings, oak floors, a wood-burning stove, and a stunning bay window overlooking the water. A large dining room and fully equipped kitchen make it easy to cater for larger groups. Upstairs are five comfortable bedrooms, including two en-suite doubles and three twin rooms, many enjoying glorious loch views.

Lochside Apartment occupies the top two floors of the building and enjoys panoramic views on two sides. With three bedrooms, a modern kitchen, and a bright living area overlooking the loch, it provides a peaceful and scenic retreat for smaller groups or couples travelling together.

The area is a paradise for walkers, runners, cyclists, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone seeking tranquillity. The West Highland Way passes through nearby Inversnaid, while Ben A’an, Ben Venue, enchanting forest trails, and countless beautiful lochs are all within easy reach. Stronachlachar Pier and its café are just a short stroll away.

Guests can enjoy free WiFi, central heating, private parking, outdoor seating with loch views, and pet-friendly accommodation. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. Mobile reception can be limited, enhancing the sense of escape from the pressures of everyday life.

To experience Scotland at its most beautiful, this is THE ideal house. For the 11 of us, it was a wonderful stay! The surroundings are simply breathtakingly beautiful! The house was absolutely perfect, peaceful, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. We had such a relaxing time, and the surroundings were so serene. As expected in Scotland, the midges were definitely about, but our lovely host Angela recommended using Smidge, and it worked a treat! Angela was brilliant throughout, so helpful, responsive, and accommodating to all our needs and questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or place to stay. 100% recommend and would love to return!

We stayed here as a group of friends and had a fantastic time! The views over the loch are stunning. The house is very comfortable and well equiped. We enjoyed a local 6 mile walk directly from the house, enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea at the cafe, who catered for all dietary requirements and were lovely. There is also a boat ramp right by the house for access to the loch – we braved morning dips at sunrise which was so peaceful and refreshing. Definitely recommend, it won’t disappoint 🙂

Wow! Beautiful area. A short stroll to breakfast and coffee in the morning. Angela’s house has an amazing kitchen. It feels like you’re living in a piece of history, but with all the modern touches! We all loved it.
