The Setting Hidden away on the edge of the Loch Lomond National Park within the beautiful rural surroundings of the private Finnich Estate, Oak Cottage offers a tranquil sanctuary. It is one of four exclusive residences created around the courtyard of a stunning 19th-century red sandstone steading. Each cottage has been converted to the highest standards of convenience and comfort, carefully preserving the unique character and historic features of the original buildings while introducing modern luxuries.

Living & Relaxing (Ground Floor) Oak is a spacious two-bedroom cottage arranged over two floors, perfectly positioned facing South and West to capture the best of the natural light. The downstairs living area is designed for socializing and relaxation, comprising a long, modern kitchen and a dining area perfect for enjoying meals together.

A distinct highlight of the property is the glass door leading from the living area into a unique, round-walled private patio. This secluded outdoor space features two wood-fired hot tubs—ideal for one or two persons each—providing a magical setting to unwind under the stars. A separate cloakroom with a basin and WC is also conveniently located on the ground floor.

Sleeping Quarters (Upper Floor) Upstairs, the accommodation is designed to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The master bedroom is furnished with a luxurious king-size bed, while the second bedroom features comfortable twin beds, making this cottage ideal for families or small groups. Situated between the two bedrooms is a large family bathroom, equipped with a basin and a bath with an overhead shower unit.

The Estate & Surroundings Stepping outside, guests are treated to uninterrupted views across 13 miles of rolling countryside towards the majestic Ben Lomond. The estate itself invites exploration; visitors can walk or run on private estate roads and tracks that wind through the woodlands, or climb the local hill for spectacular panoramic views of Loch Lomond and the mountains to the north and west.

Amenities & Location In addition to the private patio and hot tubs, guests have access to excellent shared facilities, including a landscaped courtyard, a large grass play area, and a communal building housing a large games room and laundry. While the estate offers a sense of remote peace, the pretty Stirlingshire villages of Drymen and Killearn are just 3 miles away, and the vibrant city of Glasgow is conveniently only 15 miles from your door. Ample parking is provided on-site, and free WiFi is available throughout the cottage to keep you connected during your stay.
