This is the largest of all three cottages and can sleep up to 6 people. The cottage has been sympathetically refurbished and furnished with a pleasing mix of contemporary and period furniture which gives it warm and homely feel. It is very spacious with all the bedrooms and two bathrooms situated upstairs leaving the kitchen, living/dining area downstairs. . Stable Yard Cottage is set within an open courtyard, together with a barn and the estate wall of Castletoun House overlooking charming country views south across Blackadder River to Greenlaw Mill Farm. Unusually for a village property the position offers a certain seclusion without being isolated. All rooms have open southerly country views giving the cottage its sunny and light feel to it. This cottage is children and pet friendly and provides and excellent opportunity for the families get-together. We also take group bookings (up to 14 guests) for bigger groups of family gatherings, birthday or anniversary celebrations.

The cottage is in a good location with beautiful surroundings It is well equipped and charmingly decorated The added character of chickens at your doorstep and the amazing hot tub make this a real gem

The cottage was very comfortable with lots of space for us to relax. Our hosts were very helpful in explaining our facilities eg how to use the aga, recycling situation and how to purchase the fresh eggs available on site. The local area is picturesque with a lovely park nearby.

A fab weekend at Stable Yard cottage. Beautiful location, comfy and spacious house. Really enjoyed sitting outside in the garden eating brekkie (delicious fresh eggs from the hens!). Lots of walks nearby and close to wedderlie house (where we were attending a wedding).

A beautiful and peaceful location in a small village with a pub, a shop and a play area. Spacious yet cosy, comfortable and well maintained with everything we could wish for, including a welcome tin of biscuits, milk in the fridge, and a great selection of toiletries in the bathrooms. Zuzana was friendly and welcoming, as were the chickens who kept us company in the garden. We were reluctant to leave and will soon be back. We loved it!

We loved the Tranquility, the generous size. Well equipped. Hot tub was great and the garden. Hosts were on hand and very responsive.
