Our Luxury Lodge has been lovingly restored by the McQueen family and now this former home of the Chief of the Clan McDonald invites you to discover the secrets and history of its previous owners and visitors.

The nearby Trotternish coastline where Bonnie Prince Charlie landed by boat with Flora MacDonald…all of this and more await you at Monkstadt 1745.

You can relax by the fireside in our whisky room, take a refreshing drink from our well-stocked bar, and then sip and reflect on sharing the same experience as some of Scottish history’s greatest characters.

Our restaurant is where you can enjoy a sumptuous Scottish breakfast each morning during your stay; you will also find an extensive dinner menu that serves a wide variety of locally sourced fish, seafood, meat and game in a traditional contemporary style by our Head Chef.
