Self-catering on the west coast of Scotland

The west coast is where Scotland meets the Atlantic: sea lochs, white sand beaches, mountains and islands, with some of the best sunsets in the country. Our accommodation here ranges from shoreline cottages and crofts to timber lodges, island blackhouses and large houses for groups, many with hot tubs, saunas and sea views.

Where to stay

The Road to the Isles around Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig has white sands and views to the Small Isles. The Isle of Skye has the Cuillin and a wide choice of cottages. Further out, Harris and Lewis have some of Europe's finest beaches, while Argyll, Mull and Ardnamurchan offer lochs, woodland and wildlife.

Getting there

The A82 runs from Glasgow to Fort William, and the A830 Road to the Isles continues to Arisaig and Mallaig. The Skye Bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh connects Skye to the mainland. CalMac ferries sail from Oban to Mull, from Mallaig to Skye, from Uig on Skye to Harris and from Ullapool to Lewis. Book ferries early in summer.
