Birch Cottage at Finnich Estate: A Countryside Haven

The Setting Hidden away on the edge of the Loch Lomond National Park within the beautiful rural surroundings of the private Finnich Estate, Birch Cottage is a stunning retreat. It is one of four unique cottages created around the courtyard of a beautiful 19th-century red sandstone steading. Each residence has been converted to the highest standards of convenience and comfort, retaining the character and features of the old buildings while offering modern luxury.

The Interiors Birch is a spacious two-bedroom cottage arranged over two floors. The ground floor centers around a comfortable living area that opens onto a modern, fully equipped L-shaped kitchen and a dining area, creating a social space for meals and relaxation. For convenience, there is a separate downstairs cloakroom with a basin and WC.

The stairs lead up to the sleeping quarters, which consist of two well-appointed bedrooms: one furnished with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds. Situated off the landing between the bedrooms is a modern bathroom, complete with a shower and vanity unit.

Outdoor Living & Hot Tubs A standout feature of Birch Cottage is its private outdoor space. Outside, you will find a patio featuring two wood-fired hot tubs, ideal for one or two persons each, offering a unique way to unwind. The patio also provides calming views out over the surrounding woods and fields.

The Estate & Amenities Beyond the cottage, the estate offers uninterrupted views across 13 miles of countryside to the majestic Ben Lomond. Guests are invited to walk or run on private estate roads and tracks through the woods, or climb the local hill for spectacular views of Loch Lomond and the mountains to the north and west.

Shared facilities include a landscaped courtyard, a large communal games room, a laundry, and a large grass play area. Ample parking is provided on-site, and free WiFi is available in the cottage. While the estate offers deep rural seclusion, the pretty Stirlingshire villages of Drymen and Killearn are only 3 miles away, and Glasgow is conveniently just 15 miles from the property.
