We do not operate third party enquiry forms all traffic goes direct to your website just as it should!

Your property listing on Best Scottish Cottages
Key to the success of your listing is quality high-resolution images, property information and attention to detail. Our copywriters will prepare your Best listing for you with information provided by you and also from your website. What sets our site apart from others is the high level of functionality in other words multiple ways to search for a property from price per week, per night, location, collection, special offers, late availability and multiple property features.
The list of features your property has, enhances how guests can find you so please let us know of any special features particular to your property from the list that we will send to you e.g.wifi, garden furniture, sauna, bikes available, cot etc. Each property we list is unique in its own way whether close to the shore, on a cycle route, has history or local connections, eco credentials, a converted bus or a family croft and we are happy to chat through your USP (Unique Selling Point) to help drive traffic direct to your door.
We will forward your listing text for pre-approval before it goes live and upload to our site, sending you a live link to check you are happy with it and if you need any changes made to it, along with our invoice for your annual listing. All new properties automatically feature in our “New!” section for new properties added and will receive a post on our Facebook page and instagram introducing it to our collection.
We will identify at least 3 preferred categories for consideration for inclusion and if you are unsure we can assist you with this and select them for you.
Members Login to the password-protected Members Area to update availability or to contact us with edits to your listing or details of late availability/special offers. The login link is called “Account” and is placed at the top right corner of the Best Scottish Cottages home page.
Don’t worry if you have forgotten your password just email us and we will re-set it for you.
Once you have confirmed your approval of your draft listing to us and having supplied all relevant information, your listing will go live on our site and you will be invoiced. Invoices are strictly 7 day payment terms after invoice has been issued. Please note invoices remaining outstanding 7 days after issue will be automatically removed from the site without recourse.
Payment can be made via BACS transfer. Please remember to include your property name as a reference when sending payment e.g. Name of Cottage and month year of payment “Your property name 0X/22”. (Substituting your property name and month of payment). Please email us once the payment has been instructed so we can check for safe receipt and email confirmation of your listing payment having been correctly processed.
Please provide as many high-resolution largest size photos of your property as possible, ideally covering the exterior, interior and locality. The optimum sizing is 1900 x 700 approx for your main image and as close as possible to this for subsequent images. These can be emailed to us in a zip file, sent/shared via WE TRANSFER a free file transfer service. The email address to send your photos to email@example.com
Best Scottish Cottages will use your photography to best promote your property, it is your responsibility to ensure that all photography submitted has approval to be used or if it requires crediting that the necessary permissions from the photographer have been received thank you. Please advise us when sending your pictures. You must own the copyright to the photos or advise that you have full permission for us to use them on the Best Scottish Cottages website. We reserve the right to use any photography submitted for your listing in press articles and media roundups promoting BSC and your property which is why correct permissions must be in place for all photography submitted by you, thank you.
We only use high-resolution images on our site. If you don’t have access to your property photos we can use the ones on your website subject to the quality of the image. Please advise us if you do not have any images and we can assist you in sourcing a good commercial photographer to showcase your property in its best light.

Growing our market share gives properties listing with us maximum exposure. As part of your listing we require you to link your website back to Best Scottish Cottages. This is very important and we can show you how to do this. If you have a web developer just direct him to us or us to him and we can advise. It’s a painless and very quick and easy job. Here are 3 Best Scottish Cottages badges (black based logo badge, a grey/white logo badge and a transparent one) which you can download from below and add to your website, linking direct to your listing on Best Scottish Cottages. The anniversary of your original listing will be your renewal date with us i.e. 1 year from the date your listing is first published on Best Scottish Cottages.
2 weeks prior to your renewal date we will contact you to confirm your renewal of your membership with Best Scottish Cottages.
