Step inside Aird House and into the lounge with its cosy wood burning stove and comfortable seating. You'll find a well-equipped property (sleeps 6 guests) with Wifi, TV, DVD player, Ipod docking station and all the home comforts for your luxury stay. There's a stylish kitchen with dining area well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven/grill, all utensils and kitchen equipment. Bedrooms comprise of one kingsize double (5'), two single bedrooms and one twin bedroom which also has the option of being a super king size bed.
On the first floor there is a bathroom, WC, washbasin and bath and downstairs a further WC with washbasin. The hall way has a door which leads out to the enclosed garden grounds offering a private guest relax area out front complete with outdoor furniture perfect for alfresco dining. Heating, electric and logs are included in the price (oil-fired central heating keeps the cottage warm and the log burner is perfect for cosy nights in front of the fire). All linen, towels and complimentary Scottish toiletries are provided.
A luxury cottage for two, Aird Steading Cottage also enjoys spectacular, panoramic sea views from an elevated position of the Sound of Jura and Loch Craignish. Wake up to a gorgeous sunrise over Loch Craignish and relax under amazing sunsets as they settle over the islands of Jura, Scarba, Mull and Luing. The cottage lies on the west side of Aird Farm a traditional farm steading with its own private garden. Aird Steading Cottage is furnished to very high standard, with a large living space for a couple looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle and spend quality reconnection time together.
Aird Farm is situated three miles from the little Scottish village of Ardfern in Argyll and is a traditional Scottish holiday home nestling amongst some of Scotland's most stunning scenery. Aird Farm is situated at the end of Craignish Peninsula looking onto the Isles of Jura, Mull, Luing and Scarba with a view of the Straits of Corryvreckan whirlpool, which is the well known whirlpool between Jura and Scarba.
Aird House and Aird Steading Cottage form part of Aird Farm a traditional hill farm of 1500 acres with sheep and cattle being the main enterprises. A fabulous setting, there are many walks on the farm that guests can enjoy providing stunning views over Jura, Knapdale and Loch Craignish. A short walk takes you to the miles of private shoreline with pebbly beaches and the opportunity to view wildlife, birdlife or just relax and enjoy the peace and solitude.
Aird Farm Cottages enjoy an elevated position at the end of Craignish peninsula offering stunning views over the Sound of Jura to Mull and Gulf of Corryvreckan Whirlpool the tidal race between Jura and Scarba. The Dorus Mhor (meaning the big door) is another tidal race a mile walk from the Aird and where the first steamboat, the Comet went down in 1820. The village of Ardfern is well known as a popular yachting haven and a local hotel (Galley of Lorne) which has a restaurant serving bar and evening meals. The village also has a shop and the nearby village of Craobh Haven has a pub, seafood restaurant and offers water sports. Ardfern Riding Centre offers the opportunity to try western riding, trekking and lessons. Arduaine gardens and Kilmartin Glen and Museum are within a short distance from Aird Farm.
