Private Beach Getaway on the Shores of Loch Broom
From the woodfired Scandinavian hot tub to the private beach, the loch side location on the shores of Lochbroom and the stunning surrounding mountain wilderness - Coorie Cottage is the ultimate hideaway; nominated one of the most romantic destinations in the UK, slap-bang in the middle of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Entirely off the grid, Coorie Cottage allows guests to enjoy a very remote and unique part of Scotland that is not often available and exclusively enjoyed by a lucky few.
You won't be disturbed by neighbours other than perhaps one of the many natural neighbours whom you'll be sharing this special part of the loch and mountain terrain with; otters, bats, pine martins, golden eagles, white tailed sea eagles, red deer and many other species of wildlife that live in and around Coorie Cottage in perfect harmony.
Not only is the location spectacular and Coorie Cottage the perfect home from home but hosts Nigel and Lou go above and beyond to ensure their guests are immersed in a truly authentic Scottish experience.
You'll find a hamper supplied with a selection of local goodies and treats including a bottle of prosecco. Local seafood from the fishermen of Lochbroom, such as prawns herculean sized succulent langoustines, fresh lobster and hand dived scallops can be delivered to the private jetty, all of which will be cooked and eaten on the same day. It does not get fresher than that.
The Scottish word ‘Coorie' means "A hug or embrace" - the name is very befitting. With exposed beams, rustic stone walls and wooden clad ceilings, Coorie Cottage is a delectable cosy retreat. At the heart of the cottage is the living room complete with wood burning stove, HD television, a library of books, DVD's and CD's and completed with a sheepskin rug resting on solid oak floors.
Turn out the lights and enjoy the stars and a bottle of wine from the hot tub before retreating to bed to complete you romantic stay or for an uninterrupted night's sleep. The solid oak, king-size four poster bed is made up with organic, natural cotton luxury bed linen and optional duck feather pillows.
Originally a Highland bothy, this 300 year old dwelling has been brought into the 21st century and lovingly restored to offer an exceptionally high standard of accommodation whilst retaining its original character and charm.
