With equally stylish interiors and luxury bed linens on offer similar to their additional property the Byre, the Farmhouse offers a warm and relaxing base for friends and families to explore all that Skye has to offer. Enjoy sunlit rooms in summer and cosy winter getaways with underfloor hearing downstairs, a perfect place to relax in the star-studded winter months. The Farmhouse sleeps 4 guests with room for up to 3 well behaved pets. Attention to detail at every turn with thoughtfully chosen pieces throughout, make for a very special stay on Skye.

Step into the semi open-plan living area downstairs, with kitchen, dining and sitting room all in one. There’s also a TV, DVD, Bluetooth speaker, CD player and unlimited Wi-Fi for guests use during their stay. The wood burning stove is great to stretch out beside for a relaxing night in after a day of adventures. A great addition to the cottage is a purpose designed utility room with washing machine and handy boot room for coats, muddy boots and muddy paws – the perfect place to rub dogs down and store outdoor stuff. Downstairs you will find a family bathroom and upstairs there are two bedrooms – one twin and one king-size bedroom.

A stay at Osdale Farmhouse affords true isolation, the only neighbour being Osdale Byre at the other end of the same generous grounds. Otherwise, the cottage sits on its own amongst the stunning landscape, making it a remarkable spot to enjoy the Highlands. The Farmhouse is available throughout the year for weekly bookings with arrival and departure on a Friday. Short stays of three or more days may be possible, particularly in low season. The owners of The Farmhouse also own Osdale Byre, so it offers a great option for extended numbers or larger family groups as both cottages can be booked sleeping up to 8 in total if taken together.

5 star location

The cottage is located on the Isle of Skye’s North West peninsula, called Duirinish. The wilderness of the Macleod’s Tables provides a majestic backdrop and offers plenty of great walks straight from your doorstep. Although only 3 miles from Dunvegan with local shops and good places to eat, your location offers real privacy and you still get to enjoy that remote island feel with wide open spaces to explore. Access to Skye’s famous attractions – Neist Point, Coral Beach, and Dunvegan Castle are all nearby as are some of Skye’s best restaurants including The Three Chimneys, Edinbane Lodge and Loch Bay.

Getting here

The easiest way to reach the Isle of Skye is via Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye bridge. By car it takes about 2 hours to reach Kyle from Inverness, and 4 1/2 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh. From Kyle it is another 1 1/4 hours by car to Osdale. The drive cuts across the middle of Skye with stunning scenery to admire along the way, including the Cuillin mountain range.

Osdale Farmhouse offers a truly special escape being perfectly located to take in all that Skye has to offer. If it’s culture, history, landscapes, walking or wildlife you seek you won’t be disappointed. Fresh local seafood, island crafts or breathtaking backdrops such as Dunvegan Castle, Coral Beach and Neist Point await your arrival. Rates :
