Loch View

Loch View is a pretty Victorian cottage beautifully renovated with a contemporary interior. The cottage is immediately surrounded by a private, established garden to enjoy during the summer months and in the winter the cottage has a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating on the ground floor to keep you warm and cosy. The open plan living space is wonderfully welcoming, cosy yet spacious room, whatever the weather outside; light streams in from the ceiling windows over the modern kitchen, Travertine floor and log burner. The kitchen is fully equipped to include a double oven, grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There’s also a separate sitting room complete with Smart TV, DVD player and underfloor heating. The perfect place to snuggle up in front of a film on a cold night or perhaps enjoy board games with friends or family. There is complimentary WiFi available.

Upstairs the two, dual aspect bedrooms offer guests far reaching views over the Galloway countryside. The double bedroom has a luxury wool 2000 pocket sprung king size bed and the twin room is completed with two pretty Laura Ashley wrought iron beds. Both rooms are dressed with crisp white linen and finished tastefully in fitting with the period cottage.

There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and additional separate shower room, both of a high-standard and in keeping with the traditional cottage feel.  Outside there is off road parking on the gated driveway, the south facing garden has two seating areas for sunny days and a Weber BBQ.

A stunning location

Located near to the seaside village of Rockcliffe you benefit from ready access to both the coast and the surrounding countryside. The clue is in the name; the cottage has views over White Loch and beyond and is an ideal base for those who wish to explore the Solway Coastline and the areas nearby. Take a walk and enjoy the scenery; from Loch View you can take forest, coastal or Lochside strolls and there is nearby access to Dalbeattie Forest for cycling; the forest is one of the 7Stanes mountain biking trails. The villages of Kippford, Sandyhills and Rockcliffe are all within a few miles of Loch View Cottage. Kippford is a sailing village with two pubs, Rockcliffe and Sandyhills both have beaches. There is a Village shop and seasonal tea room within walking distance of Loch View.

Rates:

Weekly bookings from a Friday from Easter to November from £668 to £1274 per week. November to April short stays available three and four nights from £329. One pet most welcome at £25 per week or £20 per short stay. Pet house rules apply.
