Kilchuimen House is a contemporary loch side home, beautifully furnished throughout – fresh and modern while remaining in total harmony with the romantic and rugged Highland terrain. The spacious design is most apparent in the large open plan living area which features sink -into plush inviting sofas, a double-sided log burning stove, a smart TV and floor to ceiling glass doors that lead out onto the patio. On the other side of the woodburner is the dining area which comfortably seats 8, the walls showcase  local highland artwork and enchanting views of the loch and glens can be enjoyed from your dining table.
To the rear of the living space is the elegant country style kitchen which has plenty of worktop space. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, and kettle. There is also a separate utility room on the ground floor perfect for removing outdoor clothing and which is usefully connected to the downstairs w.c. On the first floor there is a second living space filled with ample seating for all those staying at Kilchuimen. Facing the loch, the double height glass doors lead out onto a glass-fronted balcony from which you can take in the incredible views. This room is the perfect snug, the plush velvet sofas and large foot stool make it ideally suited for those wishing to partake in a competitive board game or two, thoughtfully provided by the owner.
The bedrooms are located on both the ground floor and the first floor. Downstairs are two large twin bedrooms which you can request be arranged either as twins or as double beds. There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two further bedrooms both king size doubles; the master suite which has an en-suite bathroom and the other has use of a large bathroom. All the bedrooms are immaculately dressed in tranquil neutral tones with crisp white linen sheets. Â Outside, the large enclosed garden is perfect for families and those bringing their dog. Being sheltered from the west coast the area often gets some wonderful weather during the summer months. There is a patio, garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue for guests to use.
Lochside Highland location
As well as ready access to Loch Ness for watersports, there are opportunities for walking and cycling in every direction; there’s lots to explore in the immediate vicinity. Kilchuimen House is an ideal place to stay as a base to explore different parts of the Scottish Highlands. The nearby village of Fort Augustus is a hive of activity from which it’s an easy onward drive to both Inverness and Fort William and your local village shop, pub and restaurantis within easy walking distance.
Aviemore and the Cairngorms are around an hour away, along with the Isle of Skye and some of the best of the North Coast 500 route around Applecross and Torridon. Fill your days with Highland adventures from hillwalking, climbing and mountain biking to white-water rafting, whisky tasting and cruises.
Keep an eye out for the Loch Ness Monster with Jacobite Cruises operating Loch Ness daily. The City of Inverness is a thriving bustling city with shops and specialist eateries, cafes and pubs. Head to Hootenannys or Macgregors Bar for some traditional folk music where you can likely gear fiddles, pipes and acoustic sets from some of Scotland’s leading traditional musicians. Eden Court offers a variety of great theatre, music and cultural events on the banks of the River Ness.

Rental rates from £1015 to £2429 weekly price. Shorts breaks are available Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday all year-round apart from July and August.
