Guests Comments :

“Excellent romantic holiday cottage – We’ve holidayed in lots of cottages and Crosple Cottage is the best we’ve ever stayed in. It’s location and situation is fantastic; approached via a gravel driveway, it is completely private in an elevated position over looking Loch Melfort yet close enough to amenities that you do not feel isolated. Sitting immediately beneath a beautiful hillside, Crosple has a lovely private, fenced garden with a patio overlooking the Loch and a built in BBQ. There is ample gravelled private, secure parking.

The Cottage itself looks like a traditional Scottish cottage but is recently built and therefore feels modern and wonderfully warm inside whilst maintaining its charm. Ours was a Christmas stay and the modern air-sourced heating system was brilliant – always warm and cosy and easily controlled and plentiful hot water. This was topped off with a brilliant wood burning stove with plenty of dry logs.
The open plan downstairs living area is lovely, with a large TV that has access to Netflix and Freeview Play and even larger view to the Loch! The kitchen is a great size, well laid out with modern oven, ceramic hobs, microwave, dishwasher and full size freezer and fridge. It is well equipped with good quality pots and pans. To help plan your visit, there was a single kitchen roll and 4 dishwasher tablets; there is no blender/mixer. Upstairs was a large bathroom with beautiful bath and brilliant, very powerful shower! The bedroom had a comfortable kingsize bed with lovely views to the Loch. We didn’t meet the owners, but the communication prior to arrival was top notch providing all the information we required. As Crosple is so well stocked we didn’t need their assistance during our stay but I have no doubt they would have been very helpful if required.  This really is a wonderful place to stay, we will be back!”

“Beautiful Cottage in a wonderful location – The cottage is set in a stunning location, on a hillside overlooking the loch. It is so wonderfully private and quiet, with only sheep as neighbours. The cottage is beautifully furnished with everything you need and more. There was wine and flowers to greet us and a lovely fresh clean interior. The owner Rory politely appeared on our last evening, whilst mowing a nearby field on his tractor, but otherwise we were left in peace. From our short meeting with Rory I can only say what an absolute gentlemen he is.
Thank you Rory for a wonderful week in your delightful cottage.”

“Meticulous and stunning cottage in unbeatable surroundings & setting – This cottage was truly more than I have experienced in my 12 years of traveling to both Scotland and Ireland! It is more well-quipped than any other, quality and details throughout…both comfort, modern living, supplied with all amenities you could ask for….the views to the front and back are incredible-mountain and lake views and the wildlife-sheep, lambies:)), birds, all brought it home for me. So sorry to have not booked for a longer period-the walks available at your doorsteps are both filled with stunning views and multiple levels and distances. Just the most serene and satisfying stay for me. Thank you Rory!!”

“Idyllic retreat – booked Crosple Cottage because it looked secluded and hidden. It did not disappoint! This perfect country cottage is exceptionally decorated and has everything you could possibly need! Rory was the perfect ‘landlord’, he made sure that everything was ok and that we are having a good time…. the birthday cake that was left for my 30th was perfect and completely unexpected. If you want a romantic, relaxing retreat then Crosple Cottage is the perfect setting! We are already planning another (longer) visit. Thank you for a perfect weekend!”

“The perfect holiday – My boyfriend and I stayed in Crosple Cottage for 4 nights in mid March. Our holiday was wonderful, and the cottage is the perfect rural retreat on the beautiful west coast. The high standard of renovation, coupled with the owners’ personal touches and exceptional hospitality made for an amazing stay – thank you! We are very much looking forward to returning soon”

“Romantic Cottage – A beautiful romantic cottage in well maintained private grounds. The cottage is in immaculate condition, with an open plan living area and well equipped kitchen. It has majestic views over the loch and we were able to see deer, pine marten and an eagle. The only thing that could be improved would be sign posted walks. However there are maps in the cottage and the owner has a great knowledge of the area.”
