Rural Escape (Highland) Ltd, Are a very successful Skye-based company that has been in business since 2016; our goal is to provide high-end luxury accommodation and experiences to tourists visiting the Isle of Skye. My father - J. W. MacQueen, bought Monkstadt 42 years ago and sadly passed away as a young man, my youngest brother- Ian, took over the project and rebuilt The Steadings over the next 30 years. Ian MacQueen’s health left him unable to complete the project; this is where I took over, and I bought the Steading and House in 2018, finally completing the family project; this was a huge source of pride for me to finish the vision that started with my father.
